Shaded from the heat of the day by a beautiful grove of jackalberry trees, the aptly named Sanctuary Chief’s Camp has been skilfully integrated into the landscape giving guests an exceptional opportunity to totally interact with the environment. Location:
Situated on the north-western tip of Chief’s Island in the exclusive Mombo Concession of the Moremi Game Reserve.
Accommodation and facilities:
Twelve secluded, luxury bush pavilions each featuring a thatched roof, four poster bed, spacious seating area, en suite facilities with indoor and outdoor shower and private game viewing deck with hammock and deck chairs. The main lodge houses the bar and dining area which is renowned for its wonderful cuisine and fine wines. There is a curio shop and library and an exquisite swimming pool. A range of spa treatments are available during peak season. The camp also has its own licensed private airstrip just over a mile away.
Activities:
Early morning and late afternoon wildlife game drives in high, open land cruisers, mokoro canoeing (when water levels allow), superb photography opportunities and excellent birding.
