The name Hartley has been synonymous with Africa for more than 150 years. Hartley's Safaris are African safari specialists - experts in the great adventure of luxury safari holidays. We were based in Botswana for twenty-five years, from there we opened an office in Johannesburg in 1983 followed by an office in England in 1989. We are a small independent bespoke tour operator specialising in African safari holidays to Southern & East Africa
All of our itineraries are tailor made and specifically designed to fit in with your expectations, dreams and budget. We pride ourselves on having first hand knowledge and a real understanding of the many places we recommend through our continued individual travel and research.
Our strength is in creating tailor made safaris specific to your requirements, and understanding the routing, travel time, and road and weather conditions involved in travelling from area to area. Our familiarity with the lodges and tented camps that we recommend, and our first hand knowledge of the types of wildlife viewing available in the surrounding areas, assure you of the most enjoyable safari for your interests and budget.
